Kingdom Hearts is an action RPG game, that was
created by Disney and Square-Enix. Some of the characters from the Final
Fantasy series make appearances, but the story focus' on a new character who
goes by the name of Sora.
Kingdom Hearts is the
first game in the series, and was released in Japan on March 28, 2002 for
the is the first game in the series, and was released on September 17, 2002
for the Playstation 2. Sora spends his whole time trying to find his friends, after
darkness engulfs the island they lived on, they all got seperated. He ended
up in a strange town and ends up running into Donald and Goofy who are
looking for the their King as well (can you guess who they are looking
for?).
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, is considered the second game, even
though it was not released as that. Chain of Memories was released for the
Game Boy Advance, and was called the "bridge" between Kingdom Hearts and
Kingdom Hearts 2. It is called that because it tells the story of Sora and
his trip through Castle Oblivion, and how he was found to be asleep for a
year, and why he had lost his memories.
Kingdom Hearts 2 is the 3rd
game in the series, and takes place a year after the events of Chain of
Memories. This game centers around Sora's Nobody, named Roxas. This game has
Sora going around trying to figure out what Organization XIII is up to.
Kingdom Hearts Coded is the 4th game that was released for mobile
phones, and was released as episodes throughout a period of time. The game
picks up after the events of Kingdom Hearts II, focusing this time on
King Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Jiminy Cricket, who discover a mysterious
sentence in Jiminy's journal and subsequently digitize the journal's
contents to find the one responsible.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is
the fifth title in the series, and was released for the Nintendo DS. The
game takes place between Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 2 (but really
starts about 3/4 of the way through Kingdom Hearts ) and focus' on Sora's
Nobody Roxas, and tells about how he came to exist, and the things he did
while he was working for Organization XIII, and what brought him to
ultimately leave the group.
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep is the
sixth game of the series. The game is set ten years before the events of the
original Kingdom Hearts. The game consists of three scenarios, with each
focusing on one of the three main characters: Terra, Ventus and Aqua who are
apprentices of Master Araqus. They set out in search of the missing Master
Xehanort, though each travel their own ways and encounter their own agenda
along the way with the origins and backstory of Xehanort revealed.
